Carol J. (Sadowski) Stanko, 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018. Carol was born November 18, 1947, in Tarentum to the late Charles and Irene Sadowski. She lived in Brackenridge and attended Har-Brack High School. Carol married Rudy Stanko in 1972 and they moved to Indianapolis. The devoted couple celebrated 46 years of marriage on April 6, 2018. Carol loved to spend time with her granddaughters and always made sure they had a great time when they spent the night at Grandma's house. She enjoyed teaching them how to make Christmas cookies, how to sew, and how to play card games. She was an avid traveler and spent time camping with her husband and family. She enjoyed working with stained glass along with her husband. She was very well known for her chocolate candies at Christmas and birthday cakes. She was an active and dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for over 40 years and often made communion sick calls to members of the parish who could not attend mass. Carol will be deeply missed by her husband, family and friends. She had a beautiful smile and enjoyed life.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Rudy Stanko; daughters, Cynthia (Rodney) Roberts and Lisa (Ryan) France; brothers, Charles (Kathy) Sadowski and Eddie (Terri) Sadowski; granddaughters, Savannah and Kendall France and Caroline Roberts. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother Leonard (Mary) Sasowski.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 12 Noon in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donations can be made to the Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
