Carol Myers

Carol Myers, 88, of Lower Burrell passed away Wednesday, Jan 3, 2024. She was born March 28, 1935. Carol was a 1953 graduate of Har-Brack High School and never missed attending their annual alumni gatherings. Carol spent her career in banking and prior to her retirement was the Branch Manger of First National Bank in Sarver. She was a member of St Margaret Mary Church for 61 years and served as a volunteer at all fundraisers and events. Carol was an active member of the Lower Burrell Lions for over 30 years serving as both the President and Treasurer. She was the “special assistant” to her husband Joe “Bud” Myers, founder of the Lower Burrell Farmers Market, never missing a Saturday opportunity to sell brooms and raffle tickets for the Lion’s Club. Carol had a passion for gardening and her flower beds and landscaping were always meticulous. She loved being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never missed attending their various athletic events (near or far) throughout their high school and college careers. Carol is survived by sister Phyllis Bobeck, of Sarver; daughters, Cheryl (Francis) Szypulski and Lisa McKillop, of Lower Burrell; her sons Joseph (Toni) Myers III, of Lower Burrell, and Kerry (Kathy) Myers, of Natrona Heights; grandsons. Mark (Kaylee) Lanzino, Gino (Lauren) Lanzino, Matthew (Courtney) McKillop, Travis (Natalie) McKillop, Drew (Vicente) Myers, Devin (Yolanda) Myers and Korry Myers; granddaughters Taylor, Natalie, Tess and Katelyn Myers; great grandsons Nino and Enzo Lanzino and great granddaughter Maria Lanzino. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Bud" Myers Jr.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 1-3, 5-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 in St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Rd, Lower Burrell.  Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to the Lower Burrell Lions, P.O.
