Addison Paul Jackson, a resident of Natrona Heights, passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 90.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his children Nina, Perry and Douglas, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and his son, Gerard.
Addison was born in Natrona on February 8, 1930 to Leonard and Hazel Jackson. He retired from AIRCO Inc. in 1992 as the Plant Superintendent for the Natrona and surrounding AIRCO Plant locations.
Addison was a proud veteran of the armed forces. He entered the US Navy in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1952 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. He served during the Korean War, and while stationed in Japan, served on the USS Philippine Sea.
He was an active member of the American Legion , VFW and the Tarentum Elks Lodge, and past member of the New Kensington Knights of Columbus
He was an active member of Guardian Angels Parish, St. Joseph Church in Natrona.
Addison was an avid golfer, a voracious reader, a wonderful father, an amazing husband and friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a blessing service on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Officiating will be the Rev. Aaron Kriss. Entombment will follow in the cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
