Amelia Rose (Ross) Runski, 91, of New Kensington, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at Platinum Ridge, Brackenridge. She was born May 14, 1925, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late, Michael and Mary C. Panfil Ross. Amelia lived her entire life in the area. She worked at Bell Telephone for many years before starting her family. Her love of her family kept her busy through out her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, watching her grandchildren and of course her weekly bingo games. Amelia was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in New Kensington, the Christian Mothers of the church and the Polish Falcons Nest 301 in New Kensington. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Richard) Bates, of Lower Burrell, her four sons, Ronald (Laura Lynn) Runski, John Runski, Joseph Runski and Walter Runski, all of New Kensington; five grandchildren, Amanda (Kevin) Lis, of Erie, Brian (Nancy) Bates, of New Kensington, Rikki Bates, of Lower Burrell, Shane Runski, of New Kensington and Kailee Villella, of Brackenridge; seven great grandchildren; her aunt, Victoria Miller, of Arnold and sister-in-law, Irene Runski, of Palm Springs, California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Runski in 1992; her son, Theodore (Ted) Runski, brothers, Louis and Samuel Ross.
Friends will be received on Friday from 3-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 10:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
