Blair T. Grube born April 28th,1953, passed away Saturday, December 1st, 2018 after a recent hospitalization at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Blair represented a joyful and soaring spirit that represented life with zeal, zest and unsurpassed appreciation for the everyday events on this earth.
Blair graduated from Freeport High School Class of 1971 and lived in the South Buffalo area until his marriage in 2001. He was enthusiastic to be employed in the carpenter and construction industry as his health would permit.
His wife of 18 years is Margaret Mary Grube. His wife changed Blairs life and outlook to one of loving, giving and presented a new will to survive his extensive medical issues. With the second kidney transplant, Blair and Margaret were able to do a honeymoon to the Hawaiian Islands in July 2001.
Blair T. Grube was a dedicated son of Emma Jane and Ralph Donald Grube. Sisters include Shirley J. Grube and Prissy A. Pakulski. Niece and nephew are Jill Pakulski Weeks and Mark David Pakulski. Grand nieces include Lydia Rose Weeks, Valerie Clare Weeks and Evelina Anne Pakulski. With Margarets extended family, he was blessed with loving brother and sister-in-laws, Vince and Lenora Krzeminski, Dennis and Sharon Maradei, niece and nephew Teresa and Mike Emeloff and Mike Krzeminski. Grand niece and nephew Isabelle and Nicholas Emeloff round out the family tree. Blair was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, George Maradei. Complete tree includes Neptune his beloved feline.
Blairs skills and talents included carpentry, wood working and a plethora of knowledge of antiques. With a true creative flair, Blair had a unique view for the aesthetics of building and creating the aura of taking something old and useless and making an object of art. If you are taking the time to read about Blair, you probably have something he made or repaired.
Blair offered so much in living, a life of appreciation and brings new meaning to "Appreciate everyday and live life to the fullest." May Blairs spirit find as much joy in its journey as he found in life. Family and friends touched by his life struggles are requested to become organ donors. Join us in celebrating Blair's life at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 for viewing hours from 2-4, 6-8 PM. A parting prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights.
