Catherine Huston

Catherine (McQuaid) "Cassie" Huston, 90, of Fawn Township returned to her Heavenly home Sunday, January 17, 2021, peacefully, surrounded by her family. Cassie was born May 30, 1930 to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Slavin) McQuaid. Even though she had polio at the age of 4 and was not expected to survive she went on to live a fulfilling life. Cassie married Don Huston on October 23, 1949 and they traveled the world together. They especially enjoyed their trips to Ireland, Germany and Italy. Cassie was a devout Christian and Attended Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church for over 60 years. She cherished her family especially her seven children, 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Cassie was an avid reader, very proud to have received her high school diploma in 1980 prior to her "youngest child's graduation". She also loved going to Panera Bread with her family every Tuesday. Cassie is survived by her daughters, Donna (Jack) Taylor, Marilyn (Chris) Saracco, Allyson (Mike) Supik, and her sons, DJ, Sam and Paul (Robin) Huston, her grandchildren, Michael (Jamie) and Tim (Ronelle) Rowe, Erick (Rebecca) Wade, Anne (Mark) Hagen, Shane (Nikki), Neil (Katelyn) and Ian (Danielle) Saracco, Maggie (Sam) Kvocak, Jerimiah and Shannon Huston, Nicolas (Mandy) and Joshua Supik, Katie (Scott) Resick, Karah (Bryan) Donovan, Ashlee (Jim) Mayuric, Emillee Filous, Andrea (Greg) McClain and Brian (Megan) Huston, 31 great- grandchildren, sisters, Clarann Carter, Mary (Jack) Thompson and Margaret "Margie" Stobert and by her son-in-law, Robert Rowe. In addition to her parents, Cassie was preceded in death by her husband Donald Huston On June 29, 2017, her daughter, Suzanne "Suzie" Rowe, her grandchildren, Kelly (Saracco) Anderson, Jennifer (Wade) Spinelli and Colin Saracco, great-granddaughter, Olivia Wade and by her siblings, Betty Kelley, Charles and Vincent McQuaid.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Bull Creek Cemetery, West Deer Township.
