Cheryl (Templeton) Carney, 70, of Tarentum, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh surrounded by her family. She was born January 14, 1948, in Wilkinsburg to the late George Earl and Frances McKinley Templeton. Cheryl worked as a beautician for many years and retired after 25 years of service as a cake decorator from the Giant Eagle in New Kensington. She was a member of the Outdoor Life Lodge in Fawn Township. Cheryl enjoyed knitting, cleaning and baking, but her greatest love were her two grandsons. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas L. Carney; children, Brian Carney (Amy Bloch-Wetmore), of Brackenridge and Wendy Conn Henderson, of Brackenridge; grandsons, Joshua (Karlie) Carney and Jacob Carney; great grandson, Julian Carney; brothers, Duane (Debbie) Templeton, of Pawleys Island, SC and James (Sandy) Templeton, of Verona; sisters, Georgia Kratovil, of Natrona Heights, Grace Ann (Carlisle) Parker, of Jacksonville, Florida and Michelle (Darrell) Dombroski of Indiana Township; and by many nieces and nephews. ,
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Millerstown United Methodist Church. Officiating will be her daughter Wendy Conn Henderson assisted by the Rev. Joshua Demi. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc.
