Daniel A Kaminski of Las Vegas NV passed away on January 8th 2023 in Long Beach California.
Daniel was born and raised in Natrona Heights PA where he graduated in 1974 from Highlands High School. After graduating high school he joined the US Navy and was injured forcing him into retirement. Dan moved to Las Vegas in 1989 where he would become a founding member of the Nevada Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America in which he served as their President and National Director for the past 10 years.
He enjoyed his time volunteering and helping others. He was involved in many non-profit organizations. If you needed help he was the first one to volunteer. He always had time for family and friends, which was most important to him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary K Kaminski (Simballa) and his father Edward Z Kaminski.
Survivors include long time friend and care giver , Edwin Collins and his nephew Eric Collins (Which Dan held guardianship for); his brother Thomas and Jerry; and nieces and nephews Jerid, Keely, Corey, and Talli; great niece and nephews Jerid, Aiden, April and Mateo.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus.
