Della M. (Duffer) Durci, 91, of Tarentum, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born April 23, 1933, in Tarentum to the late Paul and Della (Collins) Duffer. Della was a 1951 graduate of East Deer High School. She worked at Stockdales in Tarentum and later retired from Allegheny Lumber in Tarentum, where she worked as a secretary. Della was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights Campus and was a member of the former Holy Martyrs Parish in Tarentum. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Della is survived by her children, David (Luann) Durci, of Waukee, Iowa, Deborah (Lawrence) Mialki, of Natrona Heights and Mary (Chet) Carter-Smalley, of Natrona Heights, grandchildren, Kate (Jarid) Cyr, Allison Durci, Matthew (Erin) Miakli, Russell (Lindsay) Mialki, Evan (Chelsie) Mialki, Marissa (Chad) Sekeras and Christopher Carter, great grandchildren, Sean, Donna Jo, Melissa, Emma, Clara and Miles and by her brother, Paul F. (Jane) Duffer, of Creighton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Durci on May 12, 2011.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 12 noon in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc. 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
