Donald Pomaybo

Donald Pomaybo, 88, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully at his home on Monday November 18, 2024. He was born July 28, 1936, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Hatiar) Pomaybo. Don was a 1954 Graduate of Har-Brack (now known as Highlands). Don worked as a skilled cabinet maker for many years and owned his own business based out of Sarver, PA. (Pomaybo Cabinets). He also worked as a master carpenter building new houses and home remodels. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights Campus. Don shared his passion for hunting and fishing with his wife and children. Don also enjoyed the creation of wooden crafts that his loving wife Marleen would take to craft shows all around the area. Don is survived by his sons, Stephen (Bonnie) Pomaybo, Francis (Rachel) Pomaybo, Matthew (Amy) Pomaybo and Eric (Julie) Pomaybo, grandchildren, Shane (Leah) Pomaybo, Brandon (Susan) Pomaybo, Elizabeth Pomaybo (Peter Joseph Mohr IV), Jacob (Sarah) Pomaybo and Christian (Katarina) Pomaybo and by his great grandchildren, Jason, Peter, Emelia and Leo Wade.  In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene J. "Chooky" (Knox) Pomaybo on May 7, 2024 and by his brother, Joseph Pomaybo II.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 10:00 a.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
