Dorothy (Rusiewicz) Sadowski

Dorothy (Rusiewicz) Sadowski, 91, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Seneca Place, Verona. She was born February 21, 1927, in Natrona to the late Edward and Bessie Harenski Rusiewicz. Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and was also involved with the Girl Scouts in the area. Dorothy is survived by her children; Mary Sadowski, James (Mary Elizabeth) Sadowski, Vincent (Lori) Sadowski and Ann (Joseph) Rucker; and by her seven grandchildren; Zeke and Jillian Rucker and Will, Grant, Hannah, Connor and Evan Sadowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. Sadowski on October 5, 1995, and by her brother, Francis Rusiewicz.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065.
