Earl Daniel Stauffer Sr., 73, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on February 6, 1948 in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Floyd Earl "Skinny" and Edna (Adams) Stauffer. Dan served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Dan was a graduate of CCAC with a degree in Criminology. He retired from Allegheny Valley Hospital where he worked as a boiler operator. Dan was a member of Janes United Methodist Church in Creighton and the Lighthouse Fellowship Center in Sarver. He was also a life member of the East Deer Volunteer Fire Department, the American Legion Post 226 in Brackenridge, the Springdale Sportsman Association and the V.F.W. Post 894 in Natrona Heights. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, camping, woodworking, going to Pow Wow's and played the drums for many local bands. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy (Rolniak) Stauffer; sons, Earl Daniel Stauffer II, of Apollo and Matthew (DeAnna) Stauffer, of Cokeburg; brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Stauffer, both of Palms Springs, California; sister, Cindy Baxter, of Lower Burrell and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev.
