Edward J. Orendi

Edward J. Orendi, 60, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born October 27, 1956, in Pittsburgh to the late Frederick and Margaret Rebel Orendi Sr. Ed was a 1975 graduate of Churchill Area High School. He worked as a Sales Representative for Comcast in Monroeville. Ed was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Natrona Heights. He enjoyed golfing, competing in long drive competitions and played football for the former Pittsburgh Wolf Pack Football Team. Ed is survived by his son, Caleb Orendi, of Pittsburgh; his fiance, Lois Ann Shoupe, of Natrona Heights; brothers, Frederick (Joyce) Orendi Jr., of Murrysville and David (Lori) Orendi, of Turtle Creek; sister, Margaret (Greg) Kody, of Auburndale, Florida; sister-in-law, Deborah Orendi, of Nescopek; step children, Michael (Kacey) Shoupe, of Buffalo Township and Anne Hazlett, of Lower Burrell; step grandchildren, Lilly, Zachary and Jaxon; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Orendi.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
