Edward "Jaggers" Jagodzinski, 96, of Natrona, passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Oct. 16, 1919, in Natrona, a son of the late Michael and Hedwig Lapczynski Jagodzinski. Ed was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He worked for many years as a salesman in the men's clothing department at Kaufmann's in Monroeville. Ed was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, St. Ladislaus Church in Natrona. He is survived by his sister, Marie Krukowski, of Stuebenville, Ohio; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Jagodzinski; and by his sisters, Lauretta Ponsart, Irene Kaminski, Florence Anuskiewicz, Helen Watson and Martha Nitowski.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Ladislaus Church, with his pastor the Rev. James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
