Edward W. Logan Sr., 79, of Fawn Township, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 5, 1938, in Natrona Heights to the late Kenneth and Orpha Powers Logan. Ed was a 1956 graduate of Tarentum High School. He was a veteran of the US Army. Ed retired from the Floor Coverers & Decorators Local 1759 in Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Center United Methodist Church in Fawn Township, and the Pollock Lodge #502 F & AM in Tarentum where he was a Past Master. Ed enjoyed vacationing with his late wife in Aruba, fishing, hunting, watching sports and playing softball. He is survived by his three sons, Edward (Tracy) Logan, of Lower Burrell, twins, Michael (Marcia) Logan, of Pittsburgh and Mark (Jane) Logan, of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren, Colton (Christina), Clinton, Clayton (Carley), Hannah, Joshua, Sarah, Shawn & Leah Logan; and by his great grandchildren, Annalise and Rory. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie J. Mammay Logan on June 2, 2017, and by his sister, Shirley M. Shank.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Greg Spencer. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. The Masonic Lodge will conduct services in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
