Eleanor "Babe" (Reczynski) Hujo, 94, of Natrona, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born June 27, 1930, in Natrona to the late Frank and Nellie (Russell) Reczynski. Eleanor was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Tarentum, she also worked at the former Brackenridge Heights Country club and for the former Sobotka's Market. Eleanor was a member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights and was a member of the former St. Joseph Church in Natrona. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, baking, watching game shows and especially the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Mary Lynn (David) Mancuso, of North Huntingdon, Maureen Crouch ( Len Yovnello), of Monroeville, NJ, Rose (Kurt) Evans, of Saxonburg and Jeanne (Philip) Ameris, of New Kensington, grandchildren, Megan (Josh) Jefferds, Nicole Cheran (Tom Spencer), Lauren (Peter) Szemere, Kristin (Matt) Burke, Philip (Hillary) Ameris, Katie (Beau) Key, Sara (Joseph) Celko, Gina (Steve) Mancuso-Blaney and Jimmy (Marissa) Ameris, 18 great grandchildren and by her sister, Cindy Kreminski, of Northfield, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph P. Hujo on February 2, 2015, brother, Frank Reczynski and by her sister, Rita Skok.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Eleanor may be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, Pa. 16023.
