Elizabeth B. Johns

Elizabeth B. (Barlow) Johns, 93, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Christi, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was born July 26, 1927 in West Deer Township, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Czalko) Barlow. Elizabeth graduated from the new high school in 1945, now known as Deer Lakes. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Sheridan C. Johns Jr. for 67 years. They met at Saul's Sporting Goods Store where they were employed. Sheridan passed away on February 26, 2015. Elizabeth enjoyed her family more than anything else, always cooking and baking for family affairs. She loved baking and decorating cookies and rolls for the holidays and sharing them with family and friends. She enjoyed reading and was a Steeler and Pirate fan.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jeffery, Dennis (Sue Ellen), Sheridan, Jerry (Lorri Wildi), Christi (Edward) Tutak and Jayne Johns; grandchildren, Jarrod (Sue) Johns, Lindsay, Erin and Jessica Johns, Stephen (Jamey) Johns, Michael (Rachel) Johns and grandsons Carl and Jacob Tutak who held a special place in her heart and were always there for her in a moments notice; and great-grandchildren, Jayden Johns and Valerie Johns.

Elizabeth was the last to survive from her entire family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Mary Solomon, Jane Stadelmaier and Helen Barlow; brothers, John, Andrew, George, Michael and Frank Barlow and by her two lovely daughters-in-law, Carole, Jeffery's wife and Jackie, Sheridan's wife.

Elizabeth and family want to thank the staff at Alle-Kiski Medical Associates for nearly 40 years of loving care.

Friends will be received on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm, IV. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Please be prepared to follow all CDC guidelines in regards to wearing of a face covering, social distancing and crowd size. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Avenue, Brackeiridge, Pa. 15014.
