Elizabeth Dosch

Elizabeth (Dolny) Dosch, 98, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the last  surviving member of her immediate family.  Elizabeth was born July 5, 1924, in Natrona Heights a daughter of the late Stefan and Katherine (Usjak) Dolny.  She was a 1942 graduate of Har-Brack High School.  Elizabeth was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus in Natrona Heights.  She was of devout Catholic faith and developed a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a living testimony to her complete trust in God's plan for her life.  Elizabeth was a member of the former Christian Mothers of the church and the former Slovak Hall in Natrona, where she was an avid duck pin bowler.  Elizabeth was proud of her Slovak heritage and incorporated family traditions into her holidays and life events.  She was also a lifetime member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.  Elizabeth worked for 10 years at Du-Co Ceramics to help educate her children. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Donald W. Dosch, who she meet while working at Schenley Distillery.  Her favorite story to share was how Donald was smitten when he first laid eyes on Elizabeth.  Donald said to his buddy at work, "See that pretty little blonde, I'm gonna marry her!"  Elizabeth would laugh and say "And marry her he did!"  They were married for 67 years and during that time Elizabeth was happiest when being a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  


She is survived by her children, Dr. Mark (Dr. Madeleine DuPree) Dosch, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Donna (David) Lucovich, of Myrtle Beach, SC., Kathy (James) Dober, of Huntsville, Al., Darlene (Kim) Stobert, of Natrona Heights who were her devoted caretaker, Diane (Michael) Hill, of Natrona Heights and Lori (Karl) Wefers, of Simi Valley CA, grandchildren, Dr. Austin (Jenna) Dosch, Dr. Dawn Lucovich (Dr. Chris)) Hipolito, Danielle (Sumi) Lucovich-Morita, Jamie (Dr. Benjamin) Faulds, Bethany Dober, Melissa (Nicholas) Wetzel, Shawn Tempest, Michael (Karen) Tempest, Nicole (Billy) Bates, Nathan (April) Hill, Cory (Kari) Hill, Kira Wefers and Kaela Wefers and by her great-grandchildren, Emma, Charlotte and Oliver Dosch, Nari Morita, Aidan, Gavin, Alec and Delaney Faulds, Riley, Izabelle and Mason Wetzel, Brandon and Devin Tempest, Brianna Finley, Ryan Bates, Violet, Luke, Jake and Lily Hill and Brody and Asher Hill.


In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Dosch on January 31, 2012, daughter, Debra Dosch, brothers, Aloysious, Rudolph and Joseph Dolny, sisters, Margaret Kasman, Steffie Dolny, Mary Aberwald and Theresa Grzywinski, and by her grandddaughters, Emily Dosch, Desiree Lucovich and Kaitlin Wefers.  


A special expression of thanks to Kim Stobert, Nicole Bates, Brianna Finley and Adrianne Uhric and AHN Hospice Care who were and integral part of Elizabeth's home care.  


Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus.  Burial will be in Mt.
