Elizabeth J. 'Lube' (Kresnor) Caugherty, 101, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born August 23, 1916, in Pittsburgh to the late Frank and Mary Martin Kresnor. Lube was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, the Ladies Guild of the Church and the Hilltop Hose Ladies Auxiliary, where she received an award for her 75 years of service. She also was a volunteer for the Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary and was a former Girl Scout Leader. Lube enjoyed baking, playing cards, her trips to the casino, was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and especially enjoyed her time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Linden, of Fawn Township; 12 grandchildren, the late James (Karen) Crytzer, Debbie (Joe) Quigley, Randy Crytzer, Mike (Lynn) Crytzer, Beth (Mike) Finley, Ike (Lisa) Crytzer, Tim (Pauline) Crytzer, Cathy (David) Montanari, Dave (Barb) Linden, Wayne (Lisa) Linden, Brian (Michele) Linden and Cheryl (Ron) King; 33 great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren and one additional great great grandchild due in December; and by her two nephews, Steve Kreznar and James (Sharon) Kreznar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Caugherty on June 7, 1993; son-in-law, William Linden, daughter and son-in-law, Janice (James) Crytzer; and brother, Steve Kreznar.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lube may be made to Hilltop Hose Company, P.O. Box 214, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
