Florence Porter, 92, of Cabot died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born Feb. 14, 1923, in Sagamore, Pa., she is the daughter of the late Verner and Lydia Lefdahl Bergstrom.
Florence was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Natrona Heights.
She had been employed at an airplane assembly plant in Detroit during World War II and was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.
She enjoyed baking pies, designing floral arrangements and had been a beautician for her family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters Marilyn (Vernon) Simmons of Cabot, Joyce (Nicholas) Nyardy of Salem, Ohio, and Pam (Richard) Ortz of Cabot; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward and Robert Bergstrom.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Porter in 2008; one sister, Elizabeth Carney; one brother, Oscar Bergstrom; and one infant brother at birth.
PORTER - Family and friends of Florence Porter, who died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jack Hartman officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
