Frank L. "Dyke" Klimkowski, 83, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born November 26, 1938, in Natrona Heights a son of the late Gwidon and Sophie (Olczak) Klimkowski. Dyke was a 1956 graduate of Har-Brack High School where he played football (1954-1955) and baseball (1954-1955-1956) playing on the 1956 WPIAL Champions. He played in the 1949 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. After graduating Dyke signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers in 1958. Dyke later played for the local Tri County Freeport Merchants baseball team and coached Highlands American Legion Baseball. Dyke retired in 2000 after 38 years working as an insurance agent for Prudential. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Simmers) Klimkowski; daughters, Cindy Augustine and Cathy (Craig) Waltenbaugh; grandchildren, Greg Augustine, Nicole Beale (Ryan Olson) and Kaitlyn (Jacob) Saltzman, great grandchildren, Brayden Beale, Aubrey Beale and Madi Olson and by his sister, Leona Brestensky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Alfred Klimkowski and by his sisters, Helen Taraszewski, Jennie Bubash, Stella Hamilton and Mary Polisano.
