George W. Simpson

George W. Simpson, 66, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born Feb. 27, 1949, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late George A. and Mabel Graham Simpson. George retired in 2011 as a truck driver from W.L. Roenigk in Sarver after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights. George enjoyed woodworking, cutting grass, taking care of his pool and burning things. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Walter Simpson; his three daughters, Lisa Hancock, of Natrona Heights, Jennifer (Ed) Naughton, of Natrona Heights, and Katie (Steven) Laut, of Natrona Heights; his grandchildren, Mark and Julie McCorkle, Lyndsy Burkhart and Tori and Olivia Naughton; and by his niece and several nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, T.J. Naughton; and by his sister, Susan Lyons.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm IV. Burial will be private.
