Geraldine (Gerry) Grum Bartlett, 73, of Brackenridge, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born June 1, 1943, in New Kensington to the late Ludwick and Madeline (Kowalski) Grum. Gerry was a life long resident of the local area and was a 1961 graduate of New Kensington High School. She worked as a sales associate at K-Mart for many years and also worked for American Greeting Card Company. Gerry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tarentum, where she served as a Deaconess for many years and was involved in many programs and activities in her church as well. Gerry loved spending time with her grandchildren, cruising and vacationing with her beloved husband, Bill. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Gerry was an avid Steeler fan and on game day you would see the Steeler flags flying from her car. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Bartlett Sr.; children, Sona (Jerry) Cressler, of Natrona Heights, Sandra Bartlett, of Fullerton, CA., and William (Bill) Bartlett Jr., of Arnold; and by her grandchildren, Kelsie (Brok) Leda, of Brackenridge, Steven Sherry and Madeline Sherry, of Fullerton, CA, Dylan Bartlett, of Arnold and Emily Schrecongost, of Natrona Heights. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Romano.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Funeral ceremonies will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the First Baptist Church with her pastor the Rev. Robert Walker officiating. (Everyone is asked to please meet at the church). Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Gerry may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hopsital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. or to the Autism Awareness Foundation, 329 Elton Hill Drive NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
