Gertrude P. (Malkowiak) Faust, 91 of Frazer Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights,. She was born, July 2, 1929, in Natrona, a daughter of the late John and Martha (Baranowski) Malkowiak. Gertrude lived in the Alle Kiski valley all her life. She started her working career at Kummers Bakery in Tarentum, then to General Press in Tarentum and finished her working career as a bank teller at First Commonwealth Bank also in Tarentum. Gertrude was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Church in Tarentum, P.N.A. in Natrona and a long standing member of the former C.D. of A. She enjoyed planting and growing flowers and her grandchildren Corey and Kristen with whom she shared many special times and made many memories with through the years. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Deborah McPherson, of Frazer Township; grandchildren, Corey (Jennifer) McPherson and Kristen (Bryan) Buchanan and by her great-grandchildren, Skyler, Adrianna, Marlee, Emma and Henley. In addition to her parents, Gertrude was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Kulik, Marie Conroy and Cecilia Weleski; brothers, Theodore, Edward "Mick" and Stanley Malkowiak and by Dale Faust.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4-6 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be private.
