Gladys M. Swanger

Gladys M. (Wagner) Swanger, 92, of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Grievelding Wagner. Gladys worked at the Hat and Cap factory in Arnold. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and rattlesnake hunting. Gladys is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Gordon, of Puritan, Janet Hughes, of Austin, Texas, and Irene Conrad, of New Kensington; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-great-grandson, Dallon Conrad; brothers, Leo, Victor and Nick Wagner; and by her sister, Henrietta Klaes.
Friends will be received from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Monday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
