Harry H. Pierce, 87, of Buffalo Township, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday October 23, 2023. He was born February 6, 1936, in New Kensington to the late Herbert & Nellie H. (Aftanas) Pierce Sr. Harry was a graduate of Ken High. He worked as an agent for State Farm for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Harry was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus in Natrona Heights. He was a life member of the Upper Burrell Township Volunteer Fire Company #1. He volunteered for meals on wheels, coached little league, and was a member of the National Guard. He enjoyed golfing, trips to the casino, rooting for the Steelers, family vacations and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Janet (Danhof) Brestensky Pierce, children, Harry Christopher (Joanna) Pierce, of Howell, NJ, Susan (Duane) Rapp. of Buffalo Twp. and Stacey (Gregg) Craven, of Buffalo Twp., 7 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pierce, Pierce Craven, Austin Pierce, Ethan Rapp, Jacob Craven, Tyler Pierce and Elizabeth Craven, stepchildren, Stephen (Pamela) Brestensky, of Buffalo Twp., Donna Brestensky, of Allegany, NY, Nancy McCandless, of Buffalo Twp., Sandra (Robert) Mitchell, of Buffalo Twp., Jill Brestensky, of Buffalo Twp. and Lisa (John) Boylan, of Buffalo Twp., step-grandchildren, Ali Brestensky, Ben Brestensky, Rachel McCandless, Leah McCandless, Madison Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Luke Boylan and Emily Boylan, sister, Margaret Mator, of Allegheny Twp. and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis J. (Falenski) Pierce, brother, Herbert Pierce Jr. and sisters, Phyllis Mathews, Betty Ramdas, Helen Keener, Estella Mae Solomon and Shirley Foley.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus with his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
