Irene (Brinzer) Hilliard

Irene (Brinzer) Hilliard, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, Cabot. She was born January 19, 1937, in Natrona Heights to the late Stephen and Mary Micholas Brinzer. Irene worked for many years in the area as a beautician. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the St. Vincent DePaul Society of the church. Irene enjoyed gardening, her beloved dog 'Ozzie' and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Larry (Dr. Ann Kenney) Hilliard, Mary Beth (Joe) Slater, Brian (Pam Webber) Hilliard, John (Julie DiCaro) Hilliard and Jenny (Craig) Schiebel; grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole Slater, Ashley (Nick) Parise, Hannah Hilliard, Mackenzie, Madeline and Nicholas Hilliard, and Abigail and Jacob Schiebel; and by her great grandchildren, Dane and Makenna Parise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry K. Hilliard on January 12, 2017; brother, Joseph Brinzer; and by her sisters, Mary Janet Brinzer and Bernice Deemer. Irene's family would like to thank the staff at the Good Samaritan Hospice for their care and support.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-9 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Irene may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, Pa. 16023.
