Irene J. (Juniak) Krystecki, 87, of New Kensington, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in Harmar Village Care Center, Harmarville. She was born July 1, 1929, in Natrona Heights to the late Ignatius and Stella Lewandoski Juniak. Irene was a 1947 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She worked as a secretary for ALCOA in New Kensington and finished her working career as an executive secretary for Banker's Lithographing Company in R.I.D.C. Industrial Park, Pittsburgh. Irene was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Natrona Heights. She enjoyed bowling, watching movies, researching about movie stars and was a member of a card club for over 50 years. Irene is survived by her niece, Kathleen Kahl, of Farrell; great nephews, Jeff (Cherith) Kahl and Greg (Jennifer) Kahl; great niece, Laura Kahl; great great nephews, Sunny and Cyrus and by her great great niece, Rory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius F. Krystecki on July 23, 2010; and by her brothers, Joseph and Leonard Juniak.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of a blessing service at 10:30 AM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
