Irene K. (Karwinski) Osiecki

Irene K. (Karwinski) Osiecki, 93, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, Allison Park. She was born October 20, 1924, in Natrona to the late Peter and Caroline Fundakowski Karwinski. Irene graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1942. Before marriage, Irene worked at the former Liberty Mirror Works in Brackenridge and during her marriage she was a homemaker. Irene enjoyed flower gardening, baking, making soup, traveling and playing bar bingo at the American Legion in Natrona. She also enjoyed eating out at Red Lobster. Irene was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Natrona Heights and was a former member of Harrison Hills Volunteer Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary in Natrona Heights, Polish National Alliance and the Catholic Daughters of America, both in Natrona. She was the wife of the late Millard John Osiecki and lived in Natrona Heights in the house that her husband built for her 64 years ago. Irene is survived by her two daughters, Anita (Lee) LaGrelius and Amy (William) Spitzner; two grandchildren, Shannon (Steve) Bentz and Ross Schafer; two great granddaughters, Ruby and Molly Bentz; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by her sister, Cecelia Plocki; and brothers, Joseph and Eugene Karwinski.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of a blessing service at 10:30 am in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant.
