Irene T. (Jendrzejeski) Kocon

Irene T. (Jendrzejeski) Kocon, 91, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Platinum Ridge, Brackenridge. She was born August 19, 1924, in Natrona, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Zbrzyski Jendrzejeski. Irene was a 1942 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She worked at Alcoa in New Kensington during WWII. Irene was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the Polish Women's Alliance. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Irene is survived by her children, Diana (Thomas) Elliott, of Lower Burrell, Richard Kocon, of Cabot and Francis Kocon, of Buffalo Township; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; son-in-law, John Stanik, of McMurray; and by her sisters, Betty Orzechowski, of Apollo, Dorothy Jentgens,, of Natrona and Frances Wagner, of Vero Beach, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Kocon on August 2, 2014; daughter, Yvonne M. Stanik on July 6, 2014; and by her brothers, Milton, Leonard and Daniel Jendrzejeski. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor the Rev. James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial followed in Mt.
