Jacqueline M. (Crabill) Aretz, 75, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh surrounded by her family. She was born June 7, 1942, in Natrona Heights to the late Leona Welsh Crabill. Jacqueline was a 1960 graduate of Tarentum High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. Jacqueline enjoyed crafts, flower arranging and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandsons who were the joy of her life. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard A. Aretz; her two daughters, Kathleen (Clinton 'Joe') Hammond, of Auburn and Diane (Patrick) Jackson, of South Buffalo Township; grandsons, Ryan Jackson and LCpl David Jackson; her brother, Richard (Donna) Crabill, of Freeport and also survived by several nieces and nephew. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Crabill; and by her sister in infancy, Joy Lee Crabill.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jacqueline may be made to the the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue Suite E201, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222 or to the Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney Street #230, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15203.
