James E. Yaksetich, 91, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Platinum Ridge, Brackenridge. He was born July 6, 1925, in McIntyre to the late Vincent and Mary Turk Yaksetich. He was a resident of Natrona Heights for the past 55 years. James was a WWII Army veteran serving with the 249th General Hospital in New Guinea and Luzon. He was a life long truck driver who most recently worked at Jones Motor in Harmarville. James was a long time member of the Teamster's Local 249 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Gliha Yaksetich; son, Kenneth Yaksetich, of Springfield, Va.; sister, Maryann Pierce, of Saltsburg; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Helga) Gliha, of Michigan and Robert Gliha, of Florida; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Boyer, of Indiana, Pa. and Judith (Greg) Gensler, of McKees Rocks; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and John Yaksetich; and by his sister-in-law, Nancy White.
