Joanne J. Simon

Joanne J. (Thomas) Simon, 91, of Tarentum, formerly of Leechburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born on April 19, 1930, in Georgetown section of Gilpin Township to the late John and Roza (Fabian) Thomas. Joanne was a member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg and a former member of the Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary. Joanne is survived by her children, Pamela (Norbert) Lapczynski, of Natrona Heights, Alex R. (Chris Miller) Simon, of Shadyside and Sharon Simon, of Pittsburgh and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Simon on September 19, 1992 and by three brothers and two sisters. Joanne's family would like to thank all those who helped care for, supported and loved her, especially her dear friend Carole.

Friends will be received on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be her pastor the Rev. Gary J. Lyon. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. To send an online condolence please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
