John D. Stanzione Sr., 76, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was born on August 8, 1945, in Natrona Heights to the late John A. and Rose M. (Malecki) Stanzione. John was a 1964 graduate of Har-Brack High School. John served his country during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967, in Vietnam, as a heavy vehicle driver in the US Army's 359th Transportation Company. After serving his country, John attend the University of New Mexico for one year. He was a third generation recycler and the owner of Stanzione Scrap Iron & Metal. He recently retired as the managing partner with Stanson Paper Processing in Springdale. John was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights, the American Legion Post 226 in Brackenridge, the Tarentum Eagles and the Integrity Lodge, Italian Sons and Daughters of America in Brackenridge. John did not hunt or fish but he enjoyed using his laptop to search for good deals on used equipment and auctions. He always spent time at his business as it was the most important part of his adult life next to his wife and sons. John is survived by his his wife of 44 years, Louise (Bradley) Stanzione; his two sons, John D. Stanzione Jr. (Fiance`, Lauren Fleck) and Bradley Stanzione (Heather Erb); his sisters, Marcia (Herb) Kindler, of Natrona Heights and Audrey (David) Humphreys, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; brothers, Bruce, Frank and Jeff Stanzione, all of Natrona Heights and by his numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Roselynn Stanzione.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for John on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be private.
