John E. Woodman

John E. "Woody" Woodman, 61, of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born May 24, 1961, in Natrona Heights, a son of Beverly Meinz Woodman, of New Kensington and the late John E. Woodman. Woody was a 1980 graduate of Highlands High School. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge. Woody was a former member of Highland Hose Fire Company, was a volunteer for Eureka Ambulance Service and worked as an E.M.T. for the former Ogrodnik Ambulance Service. Woody was an avid golfer, a Steeler, Pirate and Pitt basketball fan. In addition to his mother listed above, Woody is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret "Pegi" (Chambon) Woodman; daughter, Nicolle Renee (Ron) Lang Jr., of Tarentum, pop pop to grandchildren, Hunter Lee Lang (fiance, Alexis Shoaf) and Trinity Grace Lang, sister, Sue (Howie) Bock, of New Kensington, nephew, Jared Bock, niece, Melissa Bock, great nieces, Natalie and Emily and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and brothers in law and sisters in law and by his best bud Eddie "his cat". In addition to his father, Woody was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Eldeane Meinz, paternal grandparents, Russ and Opal Federoff, in-laws, George and Violet Chambon and by his uncle Rusty. Woody's family asks that you would just say "Yes" to organ donation.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be his pastor the Rev. Gregory Spencer. Burial will be private.
