Juanita Mae (Witt) McKinney, 86, of Natrona Heights, went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She had been a resident of Applewood Personal Care, Brackenridge the past 18 months. Juanita was born April 26, 1931, in Maxwell, Fayette County to the late Randall and Mary Mayhle Witt and had lived in western Pennsylvania all her life. After graduating from Har-Brack High School, she served her country during the Korean War by enlisting in the Army serving as a nurses aid, CPL, stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center, Texas. Juanita enjoyed sharing her Christianity by starting a 'Good News Club' for local children on Saturday mornings. She also, greatly enjoyed spending hours in her numerous flowerbeds. As a devout born-again Christian, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Upper Burrell. Juanita is survived by her two sons, Craig (Leslie) McKinney, of Kittanning, and Glenn McKinney, of Brackenridge; sister, JoAnn Negley, of Brackenridge; brother, Eugene (Bonnie) Witt, of Natrona Heights; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Burdell 'Herk' McKinney, Jr. on March 18, 2017.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Saturday at 10 AM.
