Keith D. Vaughan, 71, of Jefferson Township passed away Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.
He was born on Dec. 24, 1941, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, the son of the late Eric Vaughan and Glendora Smouse Vaughan.
Keith was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was the founder of Vaughan's Tree Service in Buffalo Township.
Keith was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and tinkering with anything mechanical.
Keith is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn A. Szafranski Vaughan; his children, Keith Vaughan Jr. of Blairsville, Karen (Carl) Jack of Butler, Brian (Heather) Vaughan of Buffalo Township and Cynthia (Darryll) Ozimek of Buffalo Township; his six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephanie and Hannah Vaughan, Jessica and Morgan Jack and Evan Ozimek; and his sister, Marilyn Dehus.
VAUGHAN - The friends of Keith D. Vaughan, who passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in theCicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights. A blessing service will be at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Mark Pattack as celebrant. Entombment will be in Mt. Airy Mausoleum, Natrona Heights.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Keith may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
