Larry K. Hilliard, 84, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born December 30, 1932, in Brackenridge, a son of the late Glenn and Lela Kerr Hilliard. Larry retired after 42 years of service as a Foreman from Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge. He was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Larry enjoyed golfing, his dogs, trips to Florida, his Tuesday breakfasts with his family, and was also a little league coach. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene Brinzer Hilliard; his children, Larry (Dr. Anne Kenney) Hilliard, Mary Beth (Joe) Slater, Brian (Pam Webber) Hilliard, John (Julie DiCaro) Hilliard and Jenny (Craig) Schiebel; grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole Slater, Ashley (Nick) Parise, Hannah Hilliard, Mackenzie, Madeline and Nicholas Hilliard and Abigail and Jacob Schiebel; great grandchildren, Dane and Makenna Parise; and by his sisters, Mary Margaret Heffner and Sally Nevergold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Glenn and Richard Hilliard; and by his sisters, Betty Dudek, Marjorie Barnes, Jean Klingensmith, Eleanor Plasick, Edith Scholl, Patty Hill and Virginia Barr.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 PM and on Sunday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be private.
