Leo T. Henigin, 88, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 31, 1929, in Blairsville to the late Thomas and Onedia Hogue Henigin. Leo retired as a research technician from the former Gulf Research in Harmarville. He was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights an a former member of the Oakmont Elks. Leo enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Maxine Griffin Henigin; two sons, Tim (Jackie) Henigin, of Tarentum and Paul Henigin, of Natrona Heights; and by his sister, Patricia Short, of Blairsville. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ann Henigin in 1969; and by his sisters, Esther Grimm, Alice Iveson and Betty Stiles.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 10 AM. Officiating will be his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. A parish vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:45 PM.
