Leona H. Syput

Leona H. (Rzomp) Syput, 85, of New Kensington, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born May 18, 1936, in Natrona to the late Leon and Stella (Dobies) Rzomp. Leona was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, St. Ladislaus Church in Natrona. She was an avid Steeler fan and especially loved watching Notre Dame football. Her greatest joy was her family. She was very well known as "Baci" not only to her grand kids but to everyone who knew her and was proud of it. Leona is survived by her by her five sons that she called "her boys", Michael (Marge), of Arnold, Richard (Janine), of Lower Burrell, David (Deb), of Natrona Heights, Timothy (Dana), of New Kensington and James (Joie), of Natrona Heights; two daughters, Christine (Dion) Garrett, of Upper Burrell and Carolyn (Dave) Oravitz, of Fawn Township; 12 grandchildren, Matthew (Laurie), Nathaniel (Athena), Nicholas (Jamie), Benjamin (Angela), Amanda (Nick), Jenniferlyn, Zachary (Krysta), Allison, Shelby, Paige, Jameson and JJ; 2 step-grandchildren, Eddie and Danielle; 12 great-grandchildren, Landon, Rainey, Ryleigh, Kinley, Addyson, Wyatt, Reagan, Peyton, Cash, Leo, Enzo and Ava and by 5 step great-grandchildren.Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Leon on March 27, 1970 and Stella (Dobies) on November 13, 1993, her husband and true love, Bernard on May 3, 1980 and by her great-granddaughter, Gabriella on March 27, 2019.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona.
