Leonora 'Bachi' (Gulchik) Peplowski, 91, of East Butler, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home. She was born December 2, 1926, in West Deer Township to the late Wasil and Anna Bajcz Gulchik. Leonora was a 1945 graduate of West Deer High School and a 1948 graduate of the Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse starting at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Butler Hospital, Children's Rehab in Saxonburg, Sunnyview Nursing Home in Butler and finished her working career at Chicora Medical Center. Leonora was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crocheting clowns for the under privilege, knitting, reading, feeding the birds in her back yard and gardening. Leonora is survived by her children, Leona (Gary) Osche, of East Butler, Joann Collins, of East Butler, Carole Boice, of Herman, Deborah Toward, of Sarver and John Michael Peplowski, of East Butler; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, Luna and Donavan; sisters, Tanya (Paul) Salomone, of Dorseyville and Bette Bishop, of Russellton; and by her son-in-law, Carl Lopiccolo, of East Butler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Peplowski on October 6, 1990: daughter, Ann Lopiccolo; great granddaughter, Rylie Roxbury; and by her brother, Leonard Gulchik.
