Marcella A. Gnatowski

Marcella A. Gnatowski, 79, of Natrona, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg. She was born February 25, 1936, in Natrona, a daughter of the late Walerjan and Catherine Jakubowski Gnatowski. Marcella was a 1953 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Parish, St. Ladislaus Church in Natrona and was a Little League coach for the Natrona Heights Little League for many years. Marcella enjoyed bowling, country music, spending time with her nieces and nephews and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. She is survived by her sisters, Sylvia (Joseph) Sells, of Buffalo Township, Theresa Ziemianski, of Natrona Heights and Rose Marie (Joseph) Zawioski, of Newville; brothers, Henry (Claire) Gnatowski, of Plainfield, CT. and Stanley (Carol) Gnatowski, of Clarksburg, Md.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Veronica Balash.
There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 12 Noon in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona with her pastor the Rev. James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Arrangemsnts are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights.
