Marcella M. (Nyka) Glogowski, 94, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont. She was born October 7, 1922, in Natrona, a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Cywinski Nyka. Marcella was a 1941 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She retired in 1985 after 15 years of service as an administrative assistant in food services for Highlands School District. Marcella was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the P.N.A. in Natrona. Pink was Marcella's favorite color and she enjoyed shopping, homemaking, spending time with friends and family and she especially enjoyed the smiles of her seven great grandchildren. Marcella is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Larry) Ginsburg and Gloria (Robert) Jedinak; grandchildren, Lenette (Stuart) Sostmann, Nicole (Gary) Breshears, Jonathan (Sherri) Ginsburg, Allison Jedinak and Gregory Jedinak; and by her great grandchildren, Noah, Marc, Hannah, Gregory, Nicholas, Levi and Nathaniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard F. Glogowski on June 17, 1958.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in St. Ladislaus Church, 48 Spruce St., Natrona. Burial will be in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Natrona Heights. A funeral vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marcella may be made to the Allegheny Valley Association Churches Food Bank, 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
