Margaret (Peggy) Adams, age 92, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born June 26, 1932, in New Kensington, to the late Edward Arnold Jackson and Mable Ruth (Van Dorn) Jackson Harnish. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, where she belonged to the Christian Mother's and Ladies Guild. Peggy was a 1950 graduate of Arnold High School. After retirement from West Penn Hat and Cap, she enjoyed working with children at the Alle Kiski Learning Center Even Start. She also volunteered for the "New to You Shop" in Arnold and was a senior citizen's teacher's aide at H.D. Berkey School in New Kensington.
She enjoyed all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, baking, crocheting, attending lunch get-togethers with her Arnold High School graduation classmates and she loved her pet dogs, especially Sam.
She is survived by her children: David (Karen) Adams of Hampstead, North Carolina, Carol (Daniel) Dubnicay of New Kensington, Alan (Pepi) Adams of Spain, and Steven (Lisa Panzino) Adams of New Kensington; 13
Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John (Sonny) W. Adams; son, John Patrick Adams (infant). Siblings; Eugene Jackson (KIA-WWIl), Robert Jackson, William Jackson (infant), Betty (Charles) Williams, Dorothy (Nicholas) Pelino and Frances (William) Bitner
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in St. Joseph R.C.
