Margaret M. Jackson

May 1, 1934 — March 16, 2021

Margaret Mary (Badger) Jackson of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday March 16, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born May 1, 1934 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Theo R. Badger and late Margaret (Ludgate) Badger. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Roy Jackson (died April 25, 1994). Marge graduated from Bellefield Vocational High School in 1952 as class valedictorian and earned her beautician certification. She and her husband moved to Natrona Heights in 1960 from Morningside. She worked at Heights Beauty Salon for many years in Natrona Heights. She volunteered her hair cutting skills to Georgian Manor Nursing Home and the nuns at the convent at Most Blessed Sacrament. Marge was Judge of Election, Fourth Ward in Harrison for decades. She taught seventh and eighth grade CCD at Most Blessed Sacrament for several years.
During her life, she affectionately earned her nicknames of the General, Governor and Warden from her children for her ability to organize family/friend activities. Marge was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage and loved her many Winnebago trips to South Bend, Indiana to watch Notre Dame games with her husband and her wide group of friends. Her Saturdays in the fall were filled with Notre Dame games and her Sundays with her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved to celebrate her favorite holiday, St. Patrick’s Day, with family, longtime friends and newfound friends!
Marge suffered a debilitating stroke to her right side in 2004. She continued to celebrate all holidays and decorated her room at Rosebrook with pride.
She is survived by her children Thomas (Caroline), David (Marci), Patricia (Kevin) and Patrick (Diane).
She is survived by her loving grandchildren Laura (Mark) Martinka, Heather, Kelly (John Michael) Toney, Hillary, Terra (Jay) Griffith, Tyler (Chelsea) Baum, Thomas Ryan (Andrea), Moira (Dave Spang), Danny, Sean, Bryan Thomas and Brenden Thomas, David and Ryan. And 10 great grandchildren.
