Margaret V. (Kaniecki) Kraft

Margaret Veronica (Kaniecki) Kraft of Brackenridge, formerly of Latrobe, died peacefully Oct. 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Oct. 14, 1938 in Creighton, Margie was the eldest daughter of the late John and Ann (Novosat) Kaniecki.
She graduated from St. Josephs High School in 1956 and was employed by the Greater Latrobe Area School District from 1972 until her retirement in 1999. After retiring, Margie devoted her time to her family and her numerous volunteer endeavors. She was an original, 43-year member of the St. Vincent Basilica Choir in Latrobe, where she was a parishioner. Margie also attended Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Natrona Heights where she sang in the Resurrection Choir. She was a dedicated volunteer at the historical Burtner House in Natrona Heights, at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home in Brackenridge, and at the Veterans Administration in Aspinwall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many close family members including aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her husband, John Kraft, Margie is survived by her three children, Edward J. Lasko and his wife, Diana; John D. Lasko and his wife, Kimberly; and Barbara A. (Lasko) Messner and her husband, Graham; her four granddaughters, Lauren M. Lasko, Sierra B. Lasko, Rebecca A. Lasko, and Kyra P. Lasko; her three sisters and their husbands, Phyllis and Edward Cowan, Janet and Wally Czekalski, and Bonnie and Garry Raymond; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Margies name to St. Josephs High School, 800 Montana Avenue, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065 or the St. Vincent Basilica Parish, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, Pa. 15650.
