Margie Akins

Margie Ann Akins, 79, of Natrona Heights, peacefully passed away on Sept. 2nd 2024; after years of declining health. She was born July 29th, 1945 to Joseph and Frances (Fleeger) Musick in Avonmore, PA and was of Free Methodist Faith. Margie was a 1963 Graduate of Kiski Area High School. She continued her education at New Kensington Commercial School. Margie retired after 27 years as a Medical Transcriptionist at Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington, PA. Margie enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s face that had spent time with her. She was so enjoyable to talk to and thankful of even the smallest act of kindness. She very much appreciated spending time with her family, her dog Macho, ad hoc singing, listening to country music and watching game shows. Margie is survived by her daughter Teresa (Teri) with whom she had lived with, and her son Michael (Lynn )of Cranberry Twp. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Bob) Musick (Pat) of N. Apollo and her sister Katherine (Kate) Kovack of Cheswick, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Joseph Jr. and Paul (Cookie) Musick. Her loving kindness will be dearly missed by all. 

Friends will be received on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Campbell.  Burial will be in Mt.
