Mary Ann Corso

Mary Ann (Strapac) Corso, 93, of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Belair Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell. She was born February 24, 1929, in Brackenridge to the late John and Caroline (Bronic) Strapac. Mary was a 1947 graduate of Har-Brack High School. In her younger years, Mary worked as a bank teller for Mellon Bank in New Kensington and later as a book keeper for Galli Beer Distributors also in New Kensington. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America. Mary enjoyed playing cards, sports, traveling and spending time with her family at reunions, birthdays and for the holidays. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Miller (Paul Pcolinsky), of Pittsburgh, Kathryn Szczesny (Ken Mazur), of Buffalo Township and Domenic J. (Melissa) Corso, of Bradford Woods, two grandsons, Tyler Domenic (Amanda) Miller and Gianni Domenic Corso and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Domenic Corso on May 20, 2015, sons-in-law, John W. Miller and Gary Szczesny and by her brother, John Strapac.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. The Guardian Angels Ladies of Charity will hold services in the funeral home on Friday at 1:45 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205.
