Mary Helen Clark, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler. She was born August 28, 1935, in Helenwood, TN., a daughter of the late Evans and Hopie Alice Porter Pemberton. Mary Helen was a 1952 graduate of Robbins High School. She retired in 1994 from the Staff Development Department of Allegheny Valley Hospital where she worked as an audio visual aide for 17 years. Mary Helen was awarded the Crystal Q Award from Allegheny Valley Hospital in 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tarentum. Mary Helen was also a volunteer for the Food Bank in Natrona Heights and the Allegheny Valley Hospital Foundation. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Amy) Clark, of Tarentum, Patty (Mike) Bond, of Upper Glade, West Virginia and Sharon (Jim) Macshane, of Sarver; seven grandchildren, Helena (John) Passarelli, Douglas Clark, Alicia (Matt) Dorsey, Joshua Orr (fiance, Belle Hinton), Michelle (Ryan) Hacker, Ryan Orr (fiance, Jolene Elliott) and Patrick Orr; step-grandchildren, Brittany Macshane and Sarah Macshane; great-grandchildren, Caleb Passarelli, Kamryn Dorsey, Easton Hacker, Jaxon Orr, Brielle Orr and Preston Dorsey; step-great grandchild, Jaylen Hinton; brother, Archie (Virginia) Pemberton, of Robbins, Tn.; sisters, Dorothy Kearney, of Dayton, Ohio, Shirley (Barney) Shoemaker, of Dayton, Ohio and Ynema (Rick) Lafuria, of Plainfield, Indiana; and by several nieces and nephews. Mary Helen is also survived by her ex son-in-law, Mike Orr; ex daughter-in-law, Vicki Clark, her spiritual friends, Loretta and Kay and by her special companion's children, Susan, Bob, Mark and Alan and by her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Clark on February 17, 1973, her son, Randy Clark in 1956, 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and by her special companion, Robert Cunningham on September 6, 2008.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Officiating will be her pastor the Rev. Robert Walker. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
