Mary (Homick) Kostrzewski, 88, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her home. She was born June 9, 1928, in Brackenridge, a daughter of the late Harry and Anna Varos Homick. Mary owned and operated a beauty shop for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Natrona Heights. Mary enjoyed painting and crafts. She is survived by her nieces, Barbara Kulikowski, Christine Lacey and Marsha Ashenbaugh; nephews, Ted Kulikowski, Paul Homick and Mark Homick; and by her sisters-in-law, Patricia Homick and Betty Homick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Kostrzewski on April 27, 2011, her daughter, Suzanne Kostrzewski on April 6, 2016; brothers, Paul, Harry and Clem Homick; and by her sister, Theresa Kulikowski.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with her pastor the Rev. James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial followed in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. Arrangements were under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.
